How It Works

Spark is a learning community. We educate our peers on issues impacting women around the world and best practices in global philanthropy. We learn by doing. We engage in a process in which members identify potential issues and grantees; secure monetary and in-kind donations; and evaluate outcomes. Members vote on which groups receive support, and then, they work to ensure impact.

Why It Works

  • When you invest in women, they reinvest in their communities. Their impact is exponential.
  • Grassroots organizations need more than money. They need a combination of money, time, connections and attention to scale their impact.
  • Young professionals are looking for ways to get involved.
  • If you provide young professionals with education and leadership opportunities, they will become investors and advocates.
