Back to Delegations	Spark Delegation to Rwanda January 2005 In late-2004, Spark raised $4,500 for the women of Abuhujumatima, a group of Rwandan widows who rebuilding their lives after the genocide. Just two months later, Spark co-founder Kathleen Kelly traveled to Rwanda to meet the women, express how much they had inspired Spark and its members, and provide them with the money that Spark raised for them. As part of the delegation, which took place in collaboration with CARE, Kathleen visited genocide sites, development projects and diplomatic leaders, learning about the issues that women face in the post-genocide era in Rwanda.
