Girls on the Run Chrissy
Field, SF Saturday,
May 19, 2007 RSVP:
fiona@sparksf.org
At the
2006 Black and Pink Ball, we shared with you the inspiring story of Lornah
Kiplagat who started the High Altitude Training Camp in
Kenya
, to which Spark provided a grant. In
the spirit of Lornah’s dedication and efforts, Spark continues its advocacy
for female athletes and the life-changing impact of dedicated training programs
with our support of Girls on the Run-San Francisco (www.gotrsf.org).
Girls
on the Run educates and prepares girls in grades 3 through 8 for a lifetime of
self-respect and healthy living, culminating in a 5K run in which Spark will be
participating to help celebrate these young girls.
We invite you to join Spark on Saturday,
May 19th at
San Francisco
’s Chrissy Field for the Annual GOTR-SF Lollipop Run as either an event
volunteer or “running buddy” as you run alongside a young girl while
providing encouragement and cheering her on to the finish line.
If you
are interested in participating with Spark in the Annual GOTR-SF Lollipop Run,
please email fiona@sparksf.org.
We hope you can join us!
